Locum Opportunities

Invermere offers flexible, year-round locum opportunities—from just a few days to several months. We have two collaborative family practice clinics, each with five established physicians who are always keen to welcome locum support. Simply let us know your availability, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Permanent Opportunities

1)    Shared Practice (Part-Time) Join an experienced and supportive female physician in a well- established, five-physician clinic. Work 2–3 days per week in clinic, share 5–6 emergency shifts per month, and provide inpatient and long-term care coverage. Your schedule can be tailored to support your personal and professional goals.

2)    Full-Time Family Physician Become an equal partner in a thriving family practice. You’ll be part of a collegial call group for ER coverage and enjoy the flexibility to design a clinic schedule that supports your lifestyle. Work alongside like-minded, community-oriented colleagues in a beautiful rural setting.

Requirements

CPSBC license and CMPA coverage are required, along with ACLS and NRP. Preference is given to those with ATLS, PALS, and emergency experience.

Compensation and Incentives

Locums

·   75/25 clinic billing split

·   Emergency coverage paid at 100% of APP plus after-hours top-up

·   Additional 20.02% Rural Retention Premium

·   Accommodation and travel support may be available

Permanent Physicians

·   BC’s new Longitudinal Family Physician model

·   APP for ER plus after-hours top-up and 20.02% Rural Retention

·   Quarterly Rural Retention flat fee

·   CME stipend and CMPA rebates

·   Interior Health recruitment bonus and relocation assistance
