Estimated Remuneration: 4000.-6000. per week -depending on how much you would like to work.

AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY

Work with an experienced female practice partner in a 5 physician clinic with a well established patient panel. You would work 2-3 days in the clinic as well as share in the ER call schedule which would be 5-6 shifts per month. Day shifts on call would be 6 hrs and night shifts are 12 hours. As a FP you also have inpatient care both in the hospital and our Long Term Care facility. Your practice partners are flexible and would work with you to determine the optimum scheduling.

Through the UBC Medical School we teach Family Practice Residents and Medical Students completing the rural component of their training. They typically describe their experiences as invaluable!

Emergency call for full time is roughly 1:9, typically 1 X 12 hour shift/week and 1:4 weekends a month. The ER shifts can be challenging but our ER is modern, well equipped and well supported. GP’s also provide the hospital and long term care coverage for their local inpatients. We receive MOCAP funding and Rural Emergency Enhancement Funding (REEF).

Relocation Funding Available: $9K, $12K or $15K depending on whether in BC, Out of Province or International

Rural CME: $1,320 (yr 1-2), $3,520 (yr 3-4), $5,720/yr for 4+ years MOCAP REEF Rural incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at time of offer. Candidates with a BC or Canada student loan may be eligible for loan forgiveness programs.

Facility Details: Invermere and District Hospital

The Invermere Hospital is a comprehensive rural healthcare faculty with all services across the continuum of care under one roof, providing for a very cohesive and interactive approach to patient care. The hospital ia a level 1 community hospital with a very busy state of the art, well functioning, 12 bed Emergency Department as well as an 8-bed acute unit. There are also 2 long-term care facilities in close proximity.
Community Clinic Details

Invermere boasts two full service, longitudinal team-based care medical clinics. They currently each have 5 full time practices and are excited for the opportunity to expand their care teams.
Practice Details

Partner in an established clinic with full electronic medical record capability. Both clinics offer team-based care with allied supports including RN, chronic disease nurse, dietician, RT, pharmacist and social worker.

Colleagues are responsible for a share of on-call ED shifts in the Invermere and District Hospital as well as inpatient care and long-term care. Qualifications: (this configuration opens doors to international graduates) Doctorate in Medicine Provisional Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia CMPA Coverage (mandatory) ACLS (required) PALS , NRP. ATLS (or equivalent) desired
Hours of Work: Clinic- full time with flexibility to fit your lifestyle ER call 1:9 (typically a 12 hr shift/week)

Compensation:
On Call – FFS + MOCAP + REEF
In Office – LFP or FFS plus 20.02% premium (clinics offer billing support)
Estimated Gross income - $400,000. + /year for full time
